Bank of Cyprus Greece is part of the Bank of Cyprus Group that was founded in Cyprus in 1899, where it holds the largest market share. The Group provides full banking services in Cyprus, Greece*, Great Britain, Australia and Romania. In August 2007, the Bank expanded its operations in Russia, being the first Greek banking institution to enter the Russian market. In June 2008, the Bank acquired the 80% of the Uniastrum Bank in Russia. In May 2008, the Bank of Cyprus Group acquired 97,2% of the share capital of the Ukrainian bank AvtoZAZBank and dynamically starts providing banking services in Ukraine. At the same time, the Bank has representative offices in Canada and South Africa.

During its 20 years of activity in Greece, Bank of Cyprus has been expanding rapidly and steadily. As far as the network development is concerned, it has been expanded from 17 branches in 1999 to 186 today. The number of employees grew accordingly: Bank of Cyprus in Greece employed 796 people in 1999 and reached up to 3.136 employees today.

Bank of Cyprus Greece provides a full range of financial services: banking services, leasing, mutual funds and asset management, stockbroking services, factoring, and insurance services (general insurance / life insurance).

The most significant factors that established Bank of Cyprus in the greek market are the quality of service, its flexibility and its pioneer products. In order to provide the best customer service, activities have been organized in three sectors: corporate, retail and consumer. At the same time, branches are flexible, so as to provide high quality service and specialized products that cover all customer needs. Bank of Cyprus aims primarily at offering each customer products that will provide added value and to ensure a long-lasting cooperation that is based on mutual trust and transparency.

Bank of Cyprus Greece also invests in technology. Alternative networks (ATMS, Phone Banking, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking) are complementary to the branch network and provide service beyond the banking hours, so as to respond directly to customers' requests and to simplify the procedures.

In 2000 the Bank of Cyprus Group was listed at the Athens Exchange, thus creating new prospects for the Bank of Cyprus in Greece and providing everyone with the opportunity to participate at its development. Bank of Cyprus Greece implements at fast pace its expansion plan.
